oh boy

@lain @Hyolobrika @a1ba @slowfallinward having bought a few those now, can say here the only value in it was "cool, that person got the web-money ^^"which is pretty cool, but it doesn't need the whole "token" indirection step
-
@lain @Hyolobrika @a1ba Why not just speculate without the extra steps
-
@slowfallinward @Hyolobrika @a1ba where does this idea come from that people generally use NFTs as a speculative asset? Most (especially art NFTs) just get bought and held.
-
@Hyolobrika @a1ba where does the scam come in when everyone involved knows what they are selling and what they are buying?
-
@lain @a1ba maybe they are not multi-level marketing schemes, but they certainly are scams most of the time. just not when they represent something useful and already ethereal such as a domain name
-
@a1ba indeed they are
-
@lain are they wrong?
-
@Moon @Hyolobrika @slowfallinward @lain those are fun ^^wonder it gives any added value it's a token though instead of traditional shop-front. like if it's a blockchain then you already have proof-of-purchase, right?

@shmibs @lain @Hyolobrika @a1ba @slowfallinward I am going to be minting some NFTs soon that are redeemable for physical merchandise.
