   guys watching anime where there on an epic journey and hijinks happen reminds me of the mahabarata which is this ancient indian epic where lots of wacky hijinks happen and there's these guys going on an epic journey mandated by fate or whatever.was the mahabarata what people did before they had anime????

     @rizzo @sathariel @wistahe yea it was rlly interesting actually... it's all about mirror neurons and how empathy can emerge biologically even got to be on the same zoom as Vitorrio Gallase!

     @wistahe @rizzo that's why Jung realized the existence of archetypes or common motifs that emerge from human psyche, and curiously that inspired Joseph Campbell to describe the Hero's Journey or monomyth.

     @rizzo A lot of anime is based on Journey to the West which sounds a lot like how you've described mahabarata. So yes! Everything really is fan fiction of stuff that came before it.
