     @lanodan @Stoori @Moon the problem of thai/khmer/sanskrit-alikes is really in the number of characters. simpler alphabetic scripts have only a few characters and can be put directly on a keyboard, and scripts using chinese characters have secondary systems for representing pronunciation directly, so you input pinyin/注音/かな and that gets converted to actual characters. when you have too many chars for a keyboard but no simple phonological alt, though, kinda out of luck

     @Moon @Stoori Issue of khmer script is probably more that it's not used by a lot of people compared to other scripts.Sure it's slightly more complex than the national latin set of characters but probably less than trying to support all of latin (which would be useful for things like international relations in western/central europe).Chinese is probably the worst in terms of complexity but it's fairly well supported.
