@rin dunno how there and here uni stuff differ, but am in the end grateful having been able to gone here's. the first two years were pretty awful grind, but then got to do research lab and fun classes and actually learnt some things, expensive robots, 3d scanning stuff, computing cluster access, convention meeting drunk intel etc execs, and infosec class with guys did compete/host global hacking convention and stuff like that, and then some proper theoretical computing / pl stuff could have done alone but would've taken much longer probably(maybe only thankful also because had scholarship though XX

@shmibs your experience is kind of what I imagined uni would be like (including the grind part), but it slowly dawned on me that the latter part is just not going to happen in russia, no matter which university here I attend. there is a reason most successful russian it people studied and started their ventures/got initial investment abroad.well, my intention for this year was to give russia one last chance, and I think I am done with this country. for next study year, going to try to get into a university where I can actually do interesting stuff and meet interesting people in a country where I can actually have a future

@rin mmm, well you can certainly do well anywhere ^^here's was good for international students too, though don't know if it's maybe too expensive, US schools. and the cool teachers were mostly eastern euro immigrants anyways
