     @Moon @georgia @orekix When I was a young weeb we literally cleaned them manually then ran them through some kind of compression. It was a nightmare.

     @georgia I have some rare physical books I want to digitize and share but I also don't want to spend hundreds of hours of my life scanning, then cleaning the scans. Or God forbid transcriptions. ZLib contributors are heroes.

     if more people knew how to share their ebooks it would be amazing. imagine how much more accessible knowledge would become. of course, such a cultural shift towards people sharing would almost certainly result in some clampdown.
