GiGOブランドの由来については、56年におよぶセガのゲームセンターの歴史への感謝と、「リアルなエンタメで人々の渇望を癒やすオアシスになる」という意味で「Get into the Gaming Oasis=ゲームのオアシスに飛び込め！」というキーワードを設定、頭文字をとってGiGOとした。
