Everything is political but it's exhausting to make everything subject to endless debate and critique so I understand why and what people mean when they say they don't want to hear politics.

This doesn't have anything to do with the Fediverse, it's in response to a thread on a different social network about how cryptocurrency is political and if you don't see it you're in crypto for the wrong reasons. I can't imagine anyone saying this about any other currency that they wanted widely adopted.

@Moon think politics is that which is to do with polity, and cryptocurrencies, as currency, are people-organising mechanismmeaning there is really way to not consider polity, see just some technical, or personal interestjust see the silicomputers, not the human-computers who use them to interactcan't do economic as singleton, so get access control to other people, and it's easy do without giving the thought of ethic-stuff or group-mechanics

@shmibs I created a new Twitter to use solely for NFT stuff and mostly my followers and followees are now artists (and mostly women at that) and it is refreshingly mostly-free of random politics complaining or witch-hunts. People talk about their art, what's going on in their lives, it's great.
