     @w @changeling The question is still if prison is an appropriate solution. A criminal who did great harm and destruction will now be fed, housed and clothed for life by their victims (in most prison systems).

     @changeling I will "whatabout" you, because there are people who deserve the pain and suffering of prison and you're not going to convince me otherwise. Child molestors, police officers who murder innocent people, etc. I want nothing to do with you if you think child molesters should just be let free so they can find some "solution." No, they get to stay there, and frankly deserve to rot away their entire lives. They deserve no redemption. This is not something anyone just "cooked up."

     ❄️ by the way, abolish all prisons, nobody should be imprisoned. No, not even whatever monster your brain cooked up to whatabout me with. Find an actual solution to that person's violence instead of displacing it to a place you don't have to see it.
