   I had the masochistic pleasure of welding some heavy stuff with an oxy-acetylene torch today. I guess in theory it's literally the same as TIG, but in practise I found that you can't see the puddle, you can't see the bead you're trying to make, and you get hot sparks down your shirt. I've also kind of learned to pamper myself with pulsed TIG whenever possible and shooting at full power all the time is kind of stressful, you gots to keep moving

     @shmibs TIG is so gentle and relaxing, I have a very quiet rig and if you clean the parts well it's smooth sailing.
