was helping a uni mate with a java programming assignment, and for some weird reason his java outputted things in windows-1251 encoding, so when he tried outputting things in english it spewed garbage. after 30 minutes of trying solutions from google I gave up and was like "idk man, your code works for me in linux". 30 minutes later got a message from him saying "guess I will try installing linux until the deadline tomorrow". this man is in for an adventure
