Infected Moomin (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 05-May-2022 03:20:37 JST Infected Moomin @Eris @CrushBead @noyoushutthefuckupdad May be so, I was kind of naive and absorbed a lot of the cultural programming before it bit me in the ass. -
エリス (eris@kiwifarms.cc)'s status on Thursday, 05-May-2022 03:20:38 JST エリス @Moon @CrushBead @noyoushutthefuckupdad I think this is a misperception. Education (read: indoctrination) really doesn't get through to most people. The hispanics who went through the libtardization I went through are all still culturally hispanic and would find "assimilating" to wasp culture repulsive. 99% of Americans just get on Mr Public Education's wild ride for a while, then get off and never look back. -
エリス (eris@kiwifarms.cc)'s status on Thursday, 05-May-2022 03:20:39 JST エリス @Moon @CrushBead @noyoushutthefuckupdad I was taught a lot of things were foundational American values by my libtard teachers. There are those who listen and those who don't. -
Infected Moomin (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 05-May-2022 03:20:39 JST Infected Moomin @Eris @CrushBead @noyoushutthefuckupdad True, I am just saying that a lot of people absorb it and don't really question it. -
エリス (eris@kiwifarms.cc)'s status on Thursday, 05-May-2022 03:20:40 JST エリス @Moon @CrushBead @noyoushutthefuckupdad The very concept of assimilation is repugnant to basically everyone but white american libtards. -
Infected Moomin (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 05-May-2022 03:20:40 JST Infected Moomin @Eris @CrushBead @noyoushutthefuckupdad Most Americans are still taught it as a foundational American value even if they're not a liberal, but I know what you mean. -
Infected Moomin (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 05-May-2022 03:20:41 JST Infected Moomin @CrushBead @noyoushutthefuckupdad I have heard of lontime foreign residents getting fed up with being treated badly because they were too _good_ at assimilating because there's this idea that it's simply not possible for a foreigner to -
Pineal Gland Calcifier Pro™ (crushbead@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 05-May-2022 03:20:53 JST Pineal Gland Calcifier Pro™ @Moon @noyoushutthefuckupdad Once the culture shock wears off it becomes really tiresome. Japanese have like this mindset that there is only one way to do things correctly, and just expect you not ever get it. Even when you have been there a while they still treat you like an ignorant foreigner. You can do things correctly, maintain the proper respect, and obey the social mores and they will still find some reason to pick at you because you didn't do things the exact way that one specific Japanese person likes so you are clearly an ignorant foreigner. They make a big deal out of not upsetting the mood, yet some of them go out of their way specifically to upset the mood in such a way that it is somehow your fault as a foreigner. Year after year of that shit wears on you.Japanese have a real specific way of being rude in their politeness. -

Infected Moomin (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 05-May-2022 03:25:01 JST Infected Moomin @shmibs for most of my life "cultural appropriation" wasn't a thing. -

Infected Moomin (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Thursday, 05-May-2022 03:31:14 JST Infected Moomin @7 @shmibs yeah a salad bowl has discrete, unbroken chunks in it.when I first heard it I thought the person was joking because who could possibly think that wouldn't just result in a completely dissociative society with no shared values and a police state to keep order -
