   So if you go on Amazon and look up Zigbee devices, every asshole manufacturer requires you to use their Zigbee hub, not a normal, standard Zigbee hub. So if you want a Zigbee temperature sensor from one manufacturer and a door sensor from another and a motion sensor for another you're going to have three fucking Zigbee hubs. Amazon echo home automation has a Zigbee hub built in but so far I've found literally nothing that can use it.

     @shmibs Zigbee is a very simplified wireless mesh network protocol that is often used for sensor networks or home automation.
