   I'm loving Alexa but it's becoming clear really quick we need a good FOSS one that isn't designed around economic consumption.

     @Moon ah huhmaybe don't really think about the things voice can do, with unable to speak here 2/3 of the time stuffthough calendar reminders usually have associated hyperlinks, so not so sure how useful for that

     @shmibs you can ask her jokes also but the jokes SUCK. Big reason to have a FOSS one, being able to load it with jokes and not worry about offending someone.

     @shmibs also it makes annoying things easier, like instead of getting out my calendar app and using it I just say "alexa, tomorrow at 10AM, remind me to call the bank."also sometimes I say "alexa, fart!" and she farts.

     @shmibs today I asked it to play me a couple different classical music composers, every day I ask it what the spot price of gold is, and ask it random questions about stuff.
