   @Comrade_Tomato @eris take away guns and people use knives and acid insteadalso us is right next to another of the top three gun homicide countries, so no chance of keeping those outproblem is growing social precarity, and the other-blaming mentality that feeds on it, and drug-selling as an attractive out from precarity because they're illegal = no corporate competition, and the gang culture that feeds on that, and internet lets the latter things spread further and more rapidly. not an easy fix for violence

     @eris You have to make gun illegal full stop. European countries don't suffer from this due to guns being flat out illegal. There isn't a situation that exists where someone needs to die.

     Like California has strict gun laws. LA county has some of the strictest in the country. We still have shootings here, quite a lot.

     Blaming "gun culture" isn't going to fix anything. Texas could be a liberal state with strict gun control laws and shootings would still happen
