      @shmibs I can't think of a second favorite book but what I've been thinking about lately are two thingsThere's an apocryphal book of the Bible called the Book of Adam and Eve that I really like. It is just really fanciful and descriptive.The other is a manga by a guy who is obsessed with cement structures, he makes these short comics set in 昭和 countryside with young women who find secrets or do mild exhibitionism. They just really are evocative of a specific time, place and feeling. He's been drawing them since the 1990s. It's kind of embarrassing to admit but I just like everything he does.

      @Moon speaking of books and abrupt transitions, reading that reuben hersh today, "what is mathematics, really?". seems he starts with a good summary of platonism, but after that point the discussion gets really muddy because he's grasping vaguely at the difference between Int and Int f(Int i) but doesn't know anything computers so can't clear up the fuzzy and conflates thingsmakes sense though, he's retired professor by the 80s

      @shmibs I had a couple really good books about I guess philosophy and information systems, the author was a woman and it was written in like the 60s but I didn't come across it when I was getting rid of my books. I just remember being slightly surprised because there aren't a ton of prominent women philosophers.
