BAP mentioned how ruling castes are often ethnic and distinct from the peoplethey rule. I started trying to think of examples of this, but it does happen a lot. the Qing dynasty was ruled by minority Manchurians for centuries over the Han, Britain was ruled by small minority of Normans, in Ireland you developed an English aristocracy, Baltic countries had a German ruling class going back centuries. and in the US today we all know that the Mormons control the government

@augustus i was just reading about the swedish aristocracy in finland and wondering why they didn't kill them all. it seems like some nerve from modern descendants of swedish conquerers of finland to complain about lack of representation as an ethnic minority.

@augustus
i dont think we should murder all of an ethnic minority aristocracy i just think they should be bullied to the point where they learn some humbleness you know what i mean

@augustus (and have their culture gradually intergrated/erased over a couple generations)

@augustus anglos should do something about the whole norman problem
-
@mono it's a weird dynamic cause often they'll come in and pretend to be one of the common people and adopt styles and mores of the masses so they don't get overthrown, it's really like who is conquering who in this situation

@augustus lazy so im not gonna make it but i want you to imagine a "they took this from you" meme except it's the most splendid anglo architectural achievement: a dinky little motte bailey castle built on a pile of shit
