Perhaps @administrator can help? -

simsa04 (simsa04@gnusocial.net)'s status on Thursday, 08-Sep-2022 12:18:37 JST simsa04 Ah, now I remember, we had this topic a year or so ago. I guess back then it was that Mastodon doesn't support the group feature which is why there has been set up a specific instance for "groups", pretty much like lists : https://a.gup.pe/ But perhaps people from mastodon can join fedigroups in gnusocial v3? @administrator -

Ji Fu (fu@libranet.de)'s status on Wednesday, 19-Oct-2022 22:00:07 JST Ji Fu @administrator @simsa04 @lohang that's actually not true. There may be a limitation on mastodon but I can follow #GNUsocial groups from my #Friendia account. I know the #FriendicaForum (basically the same functionality as a group on gnusocial) I manage has partcipants on it from Mastodon. They achieve this by simply do a remote follow the handle of the group as if it is a regular mastodon user @forumname@instance.extenstion. My understanding is they don't get the full forum experience, every post just looking like the groupuser is retooting everything, but it seems to work for them. What happens if you try to follow @rain@gnusocial.net? simsa04 likes this.
