If the aim is to get to about 500 ish I can understand why you would be concerned about lengthening the time period for unused accounts.

One of the issues with people not responding to email reminders could be that a temporary email was used, or setup, to register.

(BTW I think my DMs on here are not working. I sent you one to test a couple days ago.)
