   To expand on #introductions I'd like to see people repost something they posted about in the past that they feel had been ignored by the #birdsite's #algorithm. If you do, please boost or repeat these instructions.

   This #mix is dear to my heart as I was in a #community #Samba #band when I still lived in the UK and miss it muchly. Plus, I think it should be a suitable #soundtrack for your #Friday.

     To add to the above:

     Since there is no #algorithm it is really important that you #boost interesting posts by others.

     A star (liking) does nothing to help increase a post's visibility beyond the original author's followers.

     I know it is strange coming from 🐦, but it really is the only way to increase a post's audience.

     So #BoostAllTheThings (if you like them) and you will notice others will do the same to your content. Here we're all in it together!

     I "like" stuff to send appreciation and/or to bookmark.
     I "repeat" when I endorse stuff beyond "liking" it.

     I usually do too as a form of appreciation - often even when boosting a post as well.

     @axwax @SuperDicq It may be force of habit, but I still use “like” as a form of punctuation: “I read this, and (probably) (broadly) agree with you, but don’t have anything substantive to add”.
