   @lxo I *might* know who you are talking about, and if we are talking about the same person, I told her about this issue myself. If she is at octodon.social, the issue is that they have "Authorized fetch" enabled; we don't have that in GS yet, and what you are saying is one of the most annoying consequences.
   Anyway, if I'm wrong, please use the mail at https://gnusocial.net/doc/contact as internal DMs are broken right now. And thanks for reporting!

     speaking of updates... an acquaintance of mine transitioned years ago, but our instance still shows her dead name. I find that somewhat dissonant myself, and I suppose she'd be quite disappointed to find out it's still there. was your script meant to update that too? in case you'd like to look into it, I can DM you her handle.
