Why is Germany in constant need to be applauded for its aid and support to Ukraine? My guess is: Germany doesn't want to face the ugly fact that it is primarily responsible for Ukraine's devastation and the exodus of 12 millions Ukrainians from their homeland. Germany (and France) at the NATO summit in Bucharest (Romania) in 2008 stalled Ukraine's application for membership against the push by the U.S. Had Ukraine become a NATO member, the current war could have been avoided. But Germany didn't want to offend as well as provoke Russia, and the result is a war of extermination.
