   Yes, exactly. To me a social network also shouldn't be yet another information overload tool. There's a whole web already to overload me, and a media that project doom & gloom my way on a continuous basis.

   I want my network to be more like a gem, where with like-minded friendly people we siff through the crazy stuff and muse about the wonder and beauty that's encountered on the web. Build stuff from it, inspire each other, be creative, and just have some fun. A relaxed place.

     @smallcircles @aral The idea that Mastodon is a 1:1 Twitter replacement is dangerous. Of course we should strive for a better UX, but the point is that the Fediverse tries to deliver a different kind of UX, compared to social medias
     No wonder that TLs are undesirable on Twitter: there's way too much activity there! Instead of filtering posts, the Fediverse solves that problem by dividing the network in small communities.
