     @ep1 @sneeuwkat @moriteppei Yeah, that was a wild time! I believe the US congress threatened to get involved in Twitter’s businesses as there were so many Islamic State accounts promoting violence against anyone they disagreed with (they killed Muslims more than any other group).

     @darnell @sneeuwkat @moriteppei for people who were on Twitter during the height of the Syrian civil war, there were fucking ISIS accounts posting propaganda, people arguing with each other, posting horrific photos and videos

     @sneeuwkat @moriteppei Twitter was way more hostile before the Taliban, Al Qaeda & other terrorist organizations roamed the site unchecked.
     I remember seeing NATO arguing with the Taliban on body counts after a battle (it was surreal).
     I also received death threats then, albeit that ironically came from the sports tweeting arena! 😂🤣😂
     I do not recommend others staying on #Twitter as it will become hostile fast.
     But some of us will remain to guide others out.

     👉🏾 Convice people to start Mastodon & Pixelfed accounts
     👉🏾 Business reasons (companies still using Twitter)

     This is more than a bumpy ride.
     Twitter has changed and after Elon is done with it, it will never ever be the same again.
     The speed at which it is changing into a far right platform, is alarming.
     Businesses, media and governments have a hard time adjusting to what is in plain sight. They stay when in fact, they should leave.
     Let Twitter become irrelevant. Because, it already is.
     That is my opinion.

     @sneeuwkat @moriteppei I no longer use Twitter the way I use to. 🙄
     Twitter went from an exciting discovery type social network to a rescue operation plus transactional social network.
     I can introduce others to the #Fediverse but I also use Twitter for business (airlines, hotels, government, etcetera) as I get a faster response via customer service.
     This is not my first rodeo being on a hostile #Twitter site. I was around when terrorists had an unchecked presence on Twitter.
