Today marks 3 months on #Mastodon. The most delightful aspect for me is our high community engagement. On #Twitter I suspect my posts got buried. A journalist reached out last Fall to ask why I was shadow banned & I had to search what that meant. This place isn’t set up as a race for RTs & likes & posts aren’t typically composed to spark outrage. It feels like an ongoing conversation & I’m even getting to know some interesting new folks. At least, that’s been my experience. I like it here.

Attached: 4 images Saw on Birdsite someone talking about how people have "given up" on moving to Mastodon or Post. For comparison I have 7x more followers on Twitter than Mastodon (85.8k vs 12k), yet the engagement is similar. Here's the retweets / boosts for identical posts: Viral political post 959 Twitter, 741 Mastodon Non-viral niche law post 8 Twitter, 18 Mastodon

The engagement for @openrightsgroup on #mastodon is still several time greater than #Twitter for better or worse. Today’s #DataPrivacyDay video is on 188 bosts and 90 likes here: https://social.openrightsgroup.org/@openrightsgroup/109766462447880199 and just 29 RTs and 39 likes over on #birdsite https://twitter.com/OpenRightsGroup/status/1619283834830192641

I've read a number of post from people comparing their engagement on #Twitter vs #Mastodon and how the latter is a lot better, but (as is always the way) I can't seem to find any right now.

Do any of you fine people have any example you can link me to, please?
