medieval Islamic philosophy is awesome because they were just constantly dunking on each other, al-ghazali wrote a book called "the incoherence of the philosophers" against avicennian philosophy, and then ibn rushd, an avicennian, wrote a book called "the incoherence of the incoherence of the philosophers" and there's just no way you're coming back from an own like that
