   @sivy @funkwhale I see funkwhale as the federated soundcloud. The cool thing about what soundcloud did was make it easy for new artists to share their music and helped a few go mainstream. I think funkwhale can do that too.

     @dansup @sivy the end goal is to have both:

     - soundcloud-like features for creators to share their work
     - grooveshark/spotify-like features for regular users to enjoy their music, discover new artists, etc.
