   Link verification would work with Twitter profiles too since they have rel="me", but Twitter obfuscates links with t.co. I don't know how to deal with that, since resolving every href on the page to check for redirects doesn't seem viable.

     @LoMakesComics You are looking at the DOM after JS modifies it. If you look at view-source instead, you'll see that exact place is a t.co href. But we can't execute JS for this ?

     @postmasterdoggo @qubyte @moonman What's wrong with the blue check mark is that it gatekeeps useful features and that it's selectively provided.

     Voluntary identity verification that does not involve real names or documents is fine, and more than that, it's extremely useful.

     Nowhere on joinmastodon.org is there anything about "decommodification" or being "anti-brand", there's a section specifically aimed at businesses though :thinkhappy:

     There are no reports made from your mastodon.social account about any fascist on my instance. One report contains the comment "fascist" about someone from another server who was already sandboxed anyway.
