   I'm not really harsh on SystemD anymore, I use it regularly now and overall it has many great features. Some of the biggest issues I had with it were that it's extremely complicated and buggy. Most of the bugs have been ironed out and it generally works these days.
   
   It's possible I just have reached the acceptance phase of grief, though.
