     @djsundog the only thing I know about firefox build process was that when the source code was first dropped, building it would extinguish all available file handles unless you set your OS to have an insane number of them.

     @moonman I've read some of the source code. The level of wizardry they are doing in special cases would make me afraid to even crack open the build script.

     Google developed that weird thing where instead of sending down binaries, they send code diffs + have it be compiled user-side. I suspect that isn't something for the lighthearted. https://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/software-updates-courgette

     Between that and the complexity of cross-platform builds changing over time http://blog.llvm.org/2018/03/clang-is-now-used-to-build-chrome-for.html I bet it's really really gnarly.
