      Microsoft・Google・Facebookなど、大規模なコンピューター企業は巨大なデータセンターを運用しています。大量のコンピューターやサーバーを抱えるデータセンターでは「冷却」の問題が重要で、海底・川沿い・北極圏など、少しでも冷却コストが低く抑えられるような場所に建設されます。アメリカに設立された非営利組織であるサンタフェ研究所が、こうしたコンピューターの熱問題について取り組んでいるとコメントしています。
