    be 動詞の否定は後ろに not をつける。

    I am a rich man.
    → I am not a rich man.

    けど、命令形で be 動詞を使うときの否定では例外的に do not になるんだなあと今さらながらに思った。今までそんなに意識して考えたことなかった。

    Be shy.
    → Don’t be shy.
