   When you upload media to :pixelfed:, it gets stored locally and optimized or transcoded then it can be stored on S3, Wasabi, DO Spaces, ect.

   With the wasabi outage, i'm thinking that falling back to local storage should be possible if the cloud storage is unavailable.

     Also considering the option to define multiple cloud storage drivers. You could host video on S3 and photos on Wasabi with minimal code!
