I've setted it at 200 (it was 100 before), let me know if you need it even higher.

Anyway, I'm loving this GNUSocial experience so far. Only some minor annoyances that maybe hopefully I can help fix in the near future. One was the character limit for the profile during signup is lower than it says, so one must to truncate it until login to change it later. A small thing but it does hurt the UX.

@dcent Hi! I see you've managed to follow some accounts already, but just in case: when you hover the mouse you'll see the "remote profile options" link, and it should take you to their home page here, in this same server.
Then, on the top right column, click on "Follow", that's it.
There's also another way, going to the remote user page and cliking "Follow"; it will redirect to your GNUSocial account for you to confirm the follow.

How do I follow people on GNUSocial? When I hover the mouse over their name all I see is a link to their page over on the other instance. Is javascript needed to follow people?

I mean that I didn't know that @riseup had an account on the fediverse until you mentioned it.
After reading your post, I followed them, and I was letting you know in case you wanted to resend the follow request; maybe when you tried they approved their followers one by one, and now it is automatic.

@riaka Yo uso GNUSocial, otro sotfware más que se conecta al fediverso. En el enlace te puedes hacer una idea de la cantidad de software que es capaz de interactuar (y no sé si está todo), y creo que es una de las fortalezas del fediverso, la diversidad. Es obvio que Mastodon tiene una mayoría aplastante (je), pero bueno, al menos hay muchas opciones:

@tlapil Reconozco que sí te respondí un poco a la defensiva, disculpas.
De todas formas, mirando con más calma, según https://fediverse.party/en/pleroma/ existen más de 1000 servidores que usan Pleroma, con lo que que una estimación con la base de los servidores con los que federe tu instancia (o la mía) creo que siempre se quedará corta.
El tema me parece serio, de verdad que no intento minimizarlo. Si pudieras pasar el enlace del admin que dices, te lo agradecería.

@riaka Pues así de memoria, sigo a gente de barcelona.social (que no es no difundan odio, es que son gente encantadora), de nixnet.social... Hay más, seguro.
Desde la interfaz de Mastodon, todo parece Mastodon. Y ojo, que todo bien, y que se hace así (creo) en cada software que conecta al fediverso.
Por ejemplo, sabes que yo no uso Mastodon, ¿no?

@tlapil @riaka No conozco las cifras concretas, pero me parece una afirmación injusta. Desde aquí federo con algunos servidores de Pleroma que en absoluto difunden mensajes de odio.
Lamentablemente, creo que ese comportamiento no se puede vincular en exclusiva con un software, porque lo veo en todos ellos.
