@dcent@administrator Hey! I can help, hopefully! You're free to contact me. But, it would be best to contact all contributors and the community, through IRC/XMPP/Matrix. I think that a GS account would be great for this kind of interaction, and I should start using one (I was on loadaverage, but alas).
For now though, I can give you the following info:
Two issues:
1) I cannot attach image files to notices. When done gs.net refuses to post with the error meassage "A file this large would exceed your user quota of 150000000 bytes"
2) When writing notices, I usally cannot use the whole number of characters but am cut short about 80 characters. I suppose it has something to do with the length of @-address (or reply) but I am not sure.
(I'd love to add screenshots but... I cannot attach them.)
@uint8_t Thanks for sharing this! I'm currently using a small server (partially) as a NAS, and I've been thinking about replacing it with a Pi, but not after you've said this.
Do you know if other brands of small, energy-efficient boards have this limitation?
disclaimer: none of the Raspberry Pis make a good NAS (maybe unless you don't care about throughput, and/or don't use VPN tunnels, at-rest encryption) because broadcom removed the usually standard issue in-CPU AES hardware accelerator the SoC
@strypey I wrote that badly 😅
I mean that I didn't know that @riseup had an account on the fediverse until you mentioned it.
After reading your post, I followed them, and I was letting you know in case you wanted to resend the follow request; maybe when you tried they approved their followers one by one, and now it is automatic.
@marcelcosta Te has dejado la 3.
