This is the problem we need to solve as Fediverse app developers. The vast majority of people don't know or care about ActivityPub or decentralized protocols. If we want federation to become the new paradigm, we need a better answer to this question.

I've switched to not use the phrase ActivityPub as much as possible. It just doesn't resonate. Fediverse is better, but I still don't have a good sound byte to explain it to the layperson.

Got comment syncing working for #Pterotype! Still need to do some testing to make sure I caught all the edge cases, but I'm planning to get this released to the plugin repository in the next few days ?

Listening to an interview with @Gargron on #TheChangelog podcast. It's really good! They talk about the early history of Mastodon, how federation works, and what's so exciting about #ActivityPub. I love seeing these sorts of publicity efforts - let's grow the #Fediverse!

I truly believe that #ActivityPub (the protocol behind #Mastodon) has the potential to redefine the way we create and connect on the internet. But to get there, we need to spread the word - a network is only as valuable as the people in it.
