The LGBT-free zone is a term coined by some leftist activist who keeps attaching fake, illegal signs to the ones denoting a city or village starts here just to make photo of them and then post them online so foreigners can construct an alternate reality where these are somehow official and shit on government subsequently. Part of the so called ulica-zagranica tactic the current opposition assumed from 2015 onwards (instead of presenting a constructive program to convince the voters to grant them reign): stage some protests, make them seem like there's a larger internal conflict than in reality, bait the government into overreacting and then show it all to the EU while lying through the teeth about reality.
