one of the funniest culture shock things I heard, was from an acquaintance who spent her school years in an embassy school in tokyo without learning the local language. she returned to russia for university and was like "wait... so people have conversations on the street... and I can understand what they are saying... wtf... that's so creepy" -

Former and current Pleroma developers ( @hj @tusooa @lain @lanodan @shpuld ) held a meeting.
