my german teacher always read english loanwords/proper nouns in german texts with a mocking exaggerated american accent, so that's how I internally vocalize it as well and then chuckle when I realize it

@matrix dunno about masto, but pleroma compresses pretty well, iirc @feld runs his db with gzip compression and it halves the storage use. my 90gb postgresql backup folder also takes up only 20gb on disk, though that's with zstd-9

@shmibs I mean, the only other writing on the SAT is where you read a text and answer 4 choice questions on how to make it better, but I assume you don't mean that. the essay actually got cancelled in 2021, so I will not have to write a single english sentence throughout the exam, which is good news for me
