    @shmibs started moving my actual personal stuff off oldd ubuntu lts hetzner vps to our infra and am using podman in the process. it's so much nicer, no need for docker-compose either it has built in support for yaml definitions.

    @Weeble @Xalef @essie at least we have 3 other fellow shitposters (moon, knotteye and Steph) also in the rack now helping pay for it so the hole burning in my wallet does not hurt as badto elaborate specifically on the funding, whenever I do freelance work I bill my clients via an LLC that has the rack, and then just leave the money in the LLC

    @essie @Weeble @Xalef I hide my power level but I'm actually so deeply allergic and angry with centralized cloud services that I've sunk ~6k over the last few years (with my friend, not active here, also sinking similar amounts) into paying for a server rack in a datacenter to host our high power shitposting machine

    @vriska @mia my primary peev is that pacing myself with a video tutorial is really fucking annoying. like when I'm following text docs or something I tend to go off on exploratory tangents in the middle of doing stuff and I can just.....stop scrolling/scroll back/forth. but with a video tutorial I'm having to pause and seek trying to keep my place sane.
