The Mastodon iOS App will be a free software (ironically run on Apple). So it will be published under GPL/MPL. Ideally - Anyone can fork (under the same license) and improve it and also unload it again to App Store.

Just Personal Feeling - the another main purpose of Mastodon official iOS App is to gain more buffer with Apple. To me it’s very likely one day Apple decide to take down all Fediverse app (start from certain region). An App development with long term financial support and its independent non profit governance will likely survive if there’s a battle. (Somewhat Like Mozilla ????)

As @Mastodon posted. We will involve and contribute to the development of official Mastodon iOS App. Lots to do;) A better Fediverse await!

Contacted Pawoo (Russel) and seems Russell is not actively maintaining it... Anyone's familiar with Crossgate *(who actually run Pawoo)?

Also for clarification: We’re using the @dsno and @TheAdmin accounts. We usually don’t integrate with these 2 accounts a lot, but we still use it for bug report purpose or announcement purpose, since still many users only follow these 2 accounts. ????
