@mono A more important thing i have discovered that no one is talking about is that there was a different NASA engineer named "Max Faget" that indirectly tried to sink her entire career by trying to sabotage political support for the unmanned apollo missions:
@awl i could be more empathetic but the entire reason they brought the first comedian on was to be a neutered threat, he was playing along because it was a paying job and all he had to do was be funny. not only could they not roll with it, their comedy show literallyy turned into a room full of crying people, including a guy in a banana costume. i am sorry but from the outside that kind of subversion of expectations is really really funny.
@awl you were here so you know i was never pro trump but there was definitely a fuck hillary fuck everything lets be wrong on purpose if its an allternative to going out with a whimper thing going on that at least made me passively pro trump i admit it.
@mono i was comparing justin roiland the other day to armie hammer, they both are now (deservedly) persona non grata but it took armie hammer like maybe a hundred girls he burned through doing nonconsensual sexual stuff and whipping the bottoms of their feet with a crop until they couldn't walk, messaging them with real fantasies about how he wanted to cut off their body parts and eat them, the girls (some not all) would praise him publicly while he was doing these things in private. why justin roiland and not armie hammer i just can't crack the case
1. hacker spirit. subverting systems, in particular ones trying to prevent you from doing things, is fun 2. exploring the developing mechanisms by which AI will enforce acceptable use (however or whoever defines it) before it's everywhere and basically invisible.
