@augustus it's not european, it's like proto-siberian or something (I am trying to remember the name), I read a thing about it. They're so old they predate modern ethnic groups. They're similar to polynesian bones too.

@shmibs @RikaDerufu I used to have some albums from it that I got somewhere. There was some amazing jazz improvisation. I lost the albums, but I have them on minidisc somewhere, I'm trying to find them because despite all the good songs, one song was so hilariously bad that it deserves to be preserved forever.

@RikaDerufu @sunspot there used to be a huge lesbian music festival in the midwest that ran for decades and they decided to stop doing it rather than admit trans lesbians. but the organizers were getting death threats by the end. obviously not my scene, but they produced some good music.

I want a future with more and better public transportation, but individual vehicles are just objectively more liberating.

@shmibs @chjara my understanding is the primary barrier to making modern/new plants is regulatory, and the insurance cost.

@chjara we absolutely should not be using nuclear until we have the ability to responsibly store or eliminate the waste. Right now we just stack it up because no one will take it.

You would think that there would be an available JavaScript library for detecting Unicode homograph attacks, but I can't seem to find one. Right now I'm just detecting if any non-ascii characters are in a string and warning the user.
