official curriculum and what’s actually taught are separate things
What? Are you saying that if Critical Social Justice is on the curriculum I shouldn’t worry because it won’t get taught? …. or …?

I’ve always been low-key against public schools out of fear that the government would use its monopoly on primary education to indoctrinate us, but my friends would always call me paranoid etc and I mostly believed them
Now with all this Critical Gender/Race Theory showing up in K-12 curricula, however, it seems I was right. Fuck, I wanted to be wrong on this one.
@djsumdog I know teachers personally as an adult who like this woke shit; I may even be related to one? I haven’t inquired and don’t want to know that person’s views on the topic; I’m not looking to create toxic family dynamics.
It’s hard for me to talk about my educational history without worrying that I might doxx myself, but I was exposed to Critical Race Theory for the first time in the public school system as part of an advanced program in 2006, so it’s important to realize that this rot has been around for awhile already in “trendy” academic programs and I think higher education.
What we’re seeing now are the results of these departments in Universities having been already completely taken over and producing activists, some of whom are teachers, so I’m worried that people are only just starting to notice what has happened, and the Democrats seem eager to adopt it, both at the party level and, anecdotally, the individual outspoken Democrats that I know, as well.
