Hey #Fediverse, has anyone heard of a #FreeSoftware / #OpenSource "Smart TV" project? Something like what #OpenWRT is for WiFi routers?

Calling all #Fediverse admins of instances in the #EU. The #CopyrightDirective is coming, we need to show the MEPs how massively the EU Internets will be affected.

We are preparing a list of all EU-based #Pleroma, #Mastodon, #GNUSocial, #Peertube, #Funkwhale, and any other instances.

Please *contact me*. All I need is the domain name, which EU Member State it's located in, and the rough topic of the instance. Approximate user count welcome, but not necessary.

So, the fact that my main e-mail client (Mailpile) and my social media (Mastodon) are both browser-based means that I cannot easily open random links coming my way through these channels in a separate cube, using porcupine: https://micahflee.com/2016/06/qubes-tip-opening-links-in-your-preferred-appvm/

This is less than ideal. Why does everything have to be browser-based these days.

I have played with Hugo and Jekyll, and I feel they're a bit on the heavy/complicated side. Any more lightweight options?

Another important take-away from my meetings already: calling MEPs is way more effective than e-mailing them.

E-mailing MEPs with a standard e-mail from a template can actually be counter-productive.

If you can, please *call* your MEPs. You can find your MEP here:

If you'd rather e-mail, please write two-three paragraphs in your own words, from your e-mail address. Even if it's not as slick as the template, it will work way better!
