Quad ? (quad@weeaboo.space)'s status on Wednesday, 05-Aug-2020 19:10:38 JST Quad ? I really hope the idiots in the cities don't ruin electric scooters for everyone here in Norway. There's even been some discussion about banning the use of electric scooters during nighttime and fuck that. -

shp :blobshp: (shpuld@shpposter.club)'s status on Wednesday, 05-Aug-2020 19:10:25 JST shp :blobshp: @hardbass2k8 @quad it would make no sense with the scooters where there's no interaction between people to rent them, and cars are quite different to scooters and bicycles where there's no paperwork involved. just hold the person driving fully responsible for causing damage while drunk, when someone hits another person in the face with a glass in a bar, is it the bars fault for providing glasses to drunk people? -
хардбасс2к8 (hardbass2k8@pleroma.soykaf.com)'s status on Wednesday, 05-Aug-2020 19:10:35 JST хардбасс2к8 @quad tbh they should just get their shit together and hold the rental companies responsible, the same discussion is happening in germany and somehow they are trying to twist the interpretation of the law into being “unclear” even though there are decades of precedents with rental cars, where the owner is responsible for making sure only qualified, sober & reliable people drive their vehicles.
i wonder how much investor money the scooter companies are spending on “lobbying” to the politicians shilling this bullshit

Quad ? (quad@weeaboo.space)'s status on Wednesday, 05-Aug-2020 19:10:37 JST Quad ? So many people renting scooters drunk in Oslo and Bergen, or just crashing into people at 20 km/h on the sidewalk. Not to mention that the rental scooters all over the streets are basically just litter. We got away decently scot-free when rental scooters launched in Oslo. But Bergen got scooters in June and ever since it's been a constant argument about tightening regulations. -
