     @lanodan @tuxcrafting no noafraid.org is a free registrar under the condition that you let people arbitrarily make subdomains on the domain you plug inand ofc free users get to just make said subdomains

     @toast @tuxcrafting Yeah, .tk (sadly this one gets in some blocklists) and .eu.org also are among the one you can have..ovh still requires you to pay, which can be an issue but it's ~1€ so could even be payed with pocket money for a bunch of years.DNS, which is the protocol, costs nothing, this is ICANN's bullshit, a domain name registration costs nothing it's just being a profiteering glutton.
