     @newt DVCS in general is cancer and git is its terminal case. Also SCCS > SVN.

     @newt if the point of a version control system is to maintain a consistent history of files and a project state in general, you need a central authority to manage it. DVCS by design eschews it. Also consider this: if DVCS is supposed to be distributed and that is supposed to be its primary advantage over central repository VCS, why is it most commonly used with the shithub silo?
