     @Coyote That's what I'm saying!!!!!!!! My parents were jehovah's witnesses and I couldn't celebrate anything, I suffered bullying for that, that's why I said that a religion shouldn't ruin your life or make you feel miserable

     @Mitsu When in Rome and the Roman's don't celebrate Christmas, keep Christmas at home all to yourself. You do the National Holiday with the Romans. It would be sad to them and to your children if you didn't. Don't let a "it's just a stupid religious holiday" mentality get in the way of being kind. That's what I was saying and that perfectly fits your philosophy of being kind to others

     @Mitsu That's a half-Truth. Some countries don't celebrate Christmas or birthdays so in interest of being kind you should abandon those kind of practices for whatever holiday or celebration is most important to them. For some that would be their National Holiday

     Halloween and Christmas appear very delusional to me, so proceed with your argument from that perspective. What makes Halloween and Christmas "real" and not delusion?

     @Coyote @Mitsu many people think differently about "macabre thoughts" and enjoy watching scary movies with a loved-person etc. i don't, but can't deny that happensit's more than just that, though, but a chance for children to go out and play together that they don't have usually, groups at night when it's not safe to do that normally. a new experience, and creativity designing own costumes, working together with parents, having funto me many holidays are so. christmas music and movies are terrible, but being together is nice..., halloween decorations are ダサい or ugly, but it can be a fun experience together. etc

     @shmibs @Mitsu I agree about the fun part of Halloween. That's human social nature. But nowhere is Halloween defined as a time to love others. I don't think love and macabre thoughts are compatible in any way, shape, or form. So if a loveless holiday can be just as fun as a love-filled holiday, it isn't the love that makes them both fun unless you like believing in contradictions

     That will not change the primary very unloving macabre focus any. If it is anything else for you other than macabre then you aren't talking about actual Halloween anymore but your own rendition of it, and that would most definitely make it a very delusional. It's delusional because your version of Halloween doesn't exist for everyone else in the world

     @shmibs @Mitsu When I first became a Jehovah's Witness and they told me they don't celebrate Christmas or birthdays, you know what I felt? I felt like I didn't care since I already didn't celebrate those things anyways.
