@Moon Why say anything at all unless everybody is wondering out loud if you really are straight or not?

TheTrueWhiteBrother (coyote@masthead.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Nov-2020 01:15:20 JST TheTrueWhiteBrother @shmibs @Mitsu Let me rephrase it then:
Forever doesn't matter. It's not important. It means nothing. it is just a word and not an actual experience.

TheTrueWhiteBrother (coyote@masthead.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Nov-2020 01:10:21 JST TheTrueWhiteBrother @shmibs @Mitsu I never condemned it. I said it wasn't actually real and that isn't a condemnation, that is The Truth.

TheTrueWhiteBrother (coyote@masthead.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Nov-2020 01:10:20 JST TheTrueWhiteBrother @shmibs @Mitsu I love certain delusions. Sometimes they can be the most beautiful and entrancing and awe-inspiring things in the whole entire Universe. But delusions never last forever. Only reality can do that.

TheTrueWhiteBrother (coyote@masthead.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Nov-2020 01:00:08 JST TheTrueWhiteBrother @shmibs @Mitsu When I first became a Jehovah's Witness and they told me they don't celebrate Christmas or birthdays, you know what I felt? I felt like I didn't care since I already didn't celebrate those things anyways.

TheTrueWhiteBrother (coyote@masthead.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Nov-2020 00:55:27 JST TheTrueWhiteBrother @shmibs @Mitsu "it's more than just that"
That will not change the primary very unloving macabre focus any. If it is anything else for you other than macabre then you aren't talking about actual Halloween anymore but your own rendition of it, and that would most definitely make it a very delusional. It's delusional because your version of Halloween doesn't exist for everyone else in the world
Ditto for Christmas I would guess

TheTrueWhiteBrother (coyote@masthead.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Nov-2020 00:46:09 JST TheTrueWhiteBrother @shmibs @Mitsu I agree about the fun part of Halloween. That's human social nature. But nowhere is Halloween defined as a time to love others. I don't think love and macabre thoughts are compatible in any way, shape, or form. So if a loveless holiday can be just as fun as a love-filled holiday, it isn't the love that makes them both fun unless you like believing in contradictions

Halloween and Christmas appear very delusional to me, so proceed with your argument from that perspective. What makes Halloween and Christmas "real" and not delusion?

TheTrueWhiteBrother (coyote@masthead.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Nov-2020 00:28:11 JST TheTrueWhiteBrother @shmibs @Mitsu When have any of those things made the world a fundamentally better or happier place? The delusions of childhood can only last so long before cold hard reality will destroy them

TheTrueWhiteBrother (coyote@masthead.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Nov-2020 00:26:02 JST TheTrueWhiteBrother @Mitsu That's a half-Truth. Some countries don't celebrate Christmas or birthdays so in interest of being kind you should abandon those kind of practices for whatever holiday or celebration is most important to them. For some that would be their National Holiday
Good luck on being kind to others!

TheTrueWhiteBrother (coyote@masthead.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Nov-2020 00:26:00 JST TheTrueWhiteBrother @Mitsu When in Rome and the Roman's don't celebrate Christmas, keep Christmas at home all to yourself. You do the National Holiday with the Romans. It would be sad to them and to your children if you didn't. Don't let a "it's just a stupid religious holiday" mentality get in the way of being kind. That's what I was saying and that perfectly fits your philosophy of being kind to others

TheTrueWhiteBrother (coyote@masthead.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Nov-2020 00:25:59 JST TheTrueWhiteBrother @Mitsu I thought it would be a great kindness to children everywhere to celebrate Christmas and birthdays, but I guess I'm mistaken
