@shmibsI would recommend it as a good introduction for someone new to crisper and gene editing concepts. It's nice and short too, which is great for someone who might not be sure if they're interested in the topic.I've done some reading on gene editing in the past, and while this book is newer than anything I've read before, it didn't add too much for me besides some updates on the regulatory and IP battles. If people liked this book but wanted more of the 'hacking' part, I recommend "Biopunk: Kitchen-Counter Scientists Hack the Software of Life"https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9521936-biopunk?ac=1
@anonymoose@shmibs i kinda think CRISPR has the potential for good but given its firmly in the hands of corporates, it will be very bad.I would be very tempted to nationalize/nullify the patents.
